Costa Rica Water Activities Because of Costa Rica's perfect surfing conditions, it has turned out to be one of the hottest places to visit and it is ideal for both the beginner and professional surfer. end about 15kn from Tilaran), and Salinas Bay on the Pacific coast
just south of the Nicaraguan border.
Diving in Costa Rica is unusual in comparison to traditional diving
destinations. Because of vast amounts of plankton and other
organisms in the Pacific Ocean, there is an astonishing amount of
large marine life that can be seen on any given dive. Visibility
ranges anywhere from 30' to 100' and the temperature of the water
averages 80 degrees F.
The waters are teeming with activity as numerous species of fish
including the king angel, moorish idol, puffers, surgeonfish,
snapper, barracuda, barberfish, parrotfish, damsels and a variety of
eels can be found hiding around the coral lined rock formations.
